I love living in my home town as much as you do yours. I always take my out of town guests to the harbor because its unique to our downtown. Driving around you will notice something else unique to my fair city of Baltimore, camera towers.
Looking at the picture top to bottom, license plate reader, traffic, HID lighting, speed and red light. This is how my city welcomes you. Is it for safety? Sometimes. Do they generate a lot of income? You betcha! In the last year or so, mounting court cases have forced the city to turn off many [not all] because of false citations. For example, a truck caught "speeding" while stopped at the red light. Tickets aside, the 24 a day surveillance, right out in the open, is massively Orwellian in your right to travel from place to place. And there is no limit on how long this data is archived. Just another one of our freedoms slowly being taken away in the name of the public good.
