I work for an international freight forwarder, heading up the JFK branch as an operations manager. Essentially everything that isn't made in your home country, and even things that are made there have to get from point A to point B, and sometimes points C, D, E, and F. Freight forwarders get it there- by plane, train, boat, ship, truck, and sometimes I've had stuff in the trunk of my car. I hope to be around for when we move stuff via space shuttle/space rockets.
I'm very well versed in almost all aspects of movement to/from the US, including Customs. I''ll be here all day (to about 5pm EST) to answer any questions you have. I'm two people short on staff today and it's consol day, so it may take a while to answer some questions.
Edit- 7PM EST: Thanks everyone! If any other questions trickle in, I'll take a look at them too.
