This is a crushing blow. I love Star Trek, and I love Bryan Fuller’s work. Having him attached to the new series gave me hope that Star Trek could recover from the atrocity that is the Abrams Non-Trek garbage universe. He’s still a producer, and apparently “laid the groundwork” for the direction the show will take, but there’s no question the show would be better with him on board.

Honestly, I’m not that interested in American Gods, I think Neil Gaiman is deeply overrated. I think Fuller made the wrong choice to focus on that over Star Trek. He is also developing a new “Amazing Stories” series, which I’m sure is unnecessary.
