Hi guys...sorry I've not kept up on this the last few weeks; real life has been batting me around a bit. But I figured this is always fun and good therapy, so here we are. I think tonight, I'm just going to do random vids.

Even before I knew I was goth (or what goth even was), I was completely enamoured with mediaeval music. I especially like it when it's mixed with modern sounds, like this band often does.

The Gothic Archies is a side group of Stephin Merritt, from The Magnetic Fields. Not only do they have a wonderful name, but all of their stuff is darkly whimsical. They also did a song (with Daniel Handler on accordian) for each of the books in A Series of Unfortunate Events.

This next song came out when I turned 20, and I fell in love with it (and the whole album) almost immediately. I recently found out that Meryn teaches creative writing here at the University of British Columbia, which is awesome.

I love Donna Lynch's voice; the fact that these guys took their name from "Dune" and have played at DragonCon just makes them even cooler.

Absolutely Fabulous is one of my all-time favourite TV shows; I can pretty much recite every episode. If the movie ever comes out, I'm going as Edina with my drag queen friend as Patsy. We already have our outfits all planned out. In my 20's, I looked like Edina but acted like Patsy. Now I still look like Edina, but I'm more like her than I care to admit.
