Good morning everyone! Hope the warm spring weather gods have smiled on you, because they’re sure not smiling on me. But hey, we have these comics to warm us up!

Marvel’s massive Civil War event is on sale until next Sunday night! This includes a TON of tie-ins, even a few that are barely connected to the event.

Best Value: Depends on page count this time around. No bundles or collections.

My recommendation: This event gets a bad rap, because it really kicked off Marvel’s trend of over-bloated summer events, and it started Millar descent into shock value storytelling. The main mini is actually pretty good. The Amazing Spider-Man arc that ran parallel, while not as good as JMS’s early Spidey stories, was good, and made better by Ron Garney’s art (that guy deserves another crack at a Spidey run). The Captain America, FF, New Avengers and Wolverine tie-ins are all very good. Sensational Spider-Man and Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man both had arcs that really developed the aftermath of the event in Spidey’s world... In other words, there’s something for almost everyone. Try it out.

God is Dead, co-created by Jonathan Hickman, and published by Avatar is on sale all week.

Best Value: A bundle of all 32 issues available for $29.99.

My recommendation: I know little about this series, however, Hickman is great with original concepts. However, he is only co-writer for the first six issues, after which co-writer Mike Costa took over entirely. It’s worth a try if you’ve heard about this series, but I don’t know enough about it to recommend it in good faith.

Alexandro Jordorowsky’s Technopriests from Humanoids is on sale through end of day today.

Best Value: Looks like it’s just about the same value across the board.

My recommendation: I don’t know anything about this series, but the previews are gorgeous, and it’s European sci-fi. If that appeals to you, give it a try.

Last week’s Convergence Week 5 sale is still on until end of day today too!!

If you’ve been curious about Comixology, but haven’t tried it yet, I can also get you a $5 off your first purchase of $10 or more coupon, if you want to try it out. Message me if you’re curious.
