I feel like ripping off homaging Quasi and starting a very sporadic post about geeky icons coming out as gay, lesbian, bi, and/or trans. As you can imagine even with more and more celebrities coming out as the world becomes more queer friendly, it still isn't a thing that happens a ton. But maybe I will go back and look at past geeky and nerdy icons who came out as queer or were queer back in the good old days before coming out was an option really!

Anyways Ellen Page, who will be in the upcoming X-Men Days of Future Past, came out today at an HRC conference for queer youth.

"I'm here today because I am gay," Page, 26, told the audience "And because maybe I can make a difference. To help others have an easier and more hopeful time. Regardless, for me, I feel a personal obligation and a social responsibility."
