Couple of days ago, I asked Odeckers on what I should get at a British pub in Santa Monica, CA. I am happy to report that the establishment was indeed run by an English proprietress, and that the food was delicious.

Of course, I can't vouch for authenticity, but I can vouch for its tastiness.

I started with their clam chowder, which was very tasty. No fishy smell or taste. Just clam chowder done right. Not sure if there is clam chowder in England, however.

Then came the Scotch Egg, which is a boiled egg covered with sausage meat and fried. It wasn't particularly flavorful. I didn't really know what to make of it. They did give us some mustard, which was very horseradish-y, which was interesting.

But it was my pie that was the star of the night. I ordered the Steak, Guinness, and Mushroom Pie, which was one of the most filling, hearty meals I've ever had. I was super full, and short $36 at the end, but it was all worth it.

Also, I bought cans of Lilt and bags of crisps, one of which is "Pork Sausage and English Mustard". Can't wait to see how that tastes. *It was very horseradish-y, which was good!
