It's mostly affluent white people (usually not as old as Hoff) playing hippie dress-up. I am not commenting on the bands performing there (they are pretty diverse), but the style of the whole thing has become like Theme Park Woodstock. It's yet another facet of this fascinating fauxthenticity matrix we are all stuck in. It seems like most of today's culture is actually hollow emulations of past subcultures. Once you get past the fashion, the surface texture of it, anything of substance evaporates.
