When Kick-Ass 2 director Jeff Wadlow was asked about cutting the comic's infamous gang rape scene, he had this to say:

There are things Mark and John [Romita Jr.] have to do in a comic book to get a response from an audience that I don’t necessarily have to do in a movie, because they’re dealing with approximations of people.

That's right. According to Wadlow, comic book readers are completely incapable of responding to anything less than a brutal gang rape. I have to agree. I mean, All-Star Superman just leaves me cold with the lack of rape. And don't even get me started on Archie!
