We all know Glen Keane. Even if you don't know his face, he breathed life into some of the most iconic animated characters of all time. During his tenure Disney; Keane was the character designer and animator behind Ariel, Tarzan, Beast and had his hand in over 20 Disney productions.
So it's nice to see that Keane's still producing gorgeous work post-Disney (he left the company in 2012 after 37 years). At Google's I/O event he unveiled his latest short entitled "Duet". Produced through Google's Advanced Technology and Projects group, it's the third short in Google's Spotlight Stories. The short, void of dialog and led by a soundtrack is a moving story about two people developing from cells to adulthood and managing to find one another along the way.
The Spotlight Stories will eventually be released as interactive animations on Android Devices, and if this short is any indication of the quality, hopefully more are in the pipeline.
