Due to the 2009 financial collapse in Iceland, McDonald's pulled out of the country. One Icelander decided to get one of the last McMeals to be sold in the country, but rather than ingesting it, he left the bag on a shelf in his garage.

Over five years later, that burger and fries have hardly changed. (So McDonald's hasn't left Iceland?) The meal was donated to the National Museum for a year, and then passed on to a hostel in Reykjavik, who have it on a live webcam.

I'm not sure if this is evidence of Icelanders missing their McDonald's, or evidence that McDonald's shouldn't be eaten in Iceland or elsewhere. Maybe both.
