WB put out a brand new trailer for The Desolation of Smaug today, and it's got everything: distrustful dwarves, smitten elves, creepy spiders - and our very first snippet of Benedict Cumberbatch's Smaug voice!

There's plenty of cool looking stuff in here, as conflict between the dwarves, Bard and the men of Laketown and Thranduil's wood elves begins to come to a head over Thorin's claim to Erebor. Gandalf discovers the rise of Sauron's power again, and Bilbo almost tells him about the magical ring he found in the Goblin caves. The eyebrows attached to Lee Pace seemingly disapprove of Legolas' growing attachment to Tauriel. And there's our first blink-and-you'll-miss-it look at Beorn in his Bear-form, too.

And spiders! Lots and lots of spiders that probably guarantee that I'm going to spend a good chunk of this film with my eyes clamped shut out of fear. Hooray...?

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug hits theatres December 13th.
