I JUST found out that Paula Guran is putting out a second anthology of Halloween stories; it's being released on Sept. 11. Her first one is excellent; it is easily as good as October Dreams by Cemetery Dance, and that's saying something.
I collect books and stories about Halloween and October (so very shocking, I know), and her first anthology has been one of my favourites. I've been getting myself in an autumny mood lately (I usually start putting myself in the mindset at the beginning of August; I do "autumn cleaning"—well, as much as I can manage; I start listening to my autumny playlist; I start getting my sweaters and socks and gloves ready to wear), and this has just made me very, very happy.
If you haven't read any of her other anthologies, I highly recommend them all. They are spectacular.
