Sure, it was a sequel to one of the most insane episodes of the insane second season, which gives us all reason to be fearful, but Abed lampshaded that concern right away, and, I think, came pretty close to living up to his own hubris.
Plus Tobias Funke was there.
And Professor Hickey used enhanced interrogation on Hobgoblins:
I don't think anything can top the original "Advanced Dungeons and Dragons", but to see "Advanced Advanced Dungeons and Dragons" simply ignored in a place like io9/the O-deck seems pretty absurd to me.
Okay, I'm a bit disappointed that only Annie was playing a character from the original episode. I would have liked to see the return of Maarrr and Lavernica to another adventure with Hector the Well-Endowed.
Also, the outro was one of the weakest in probably the whole series for me.
The moment when Jeff tried to get Abed to lighten up on the party while they were on the bridge, and Abed in turn consulting his notes to realize that the bridge was actually far more poorly constructed than he was originally rolling for was probably one of the high points. That and the dance and web-excretion based language of the Sky Spiders.
What did everyone else think? This episode did happen, right? I'm not just imagining it, right? There were posts about "Pile of Bullets" within minutes of the episode airing last week. This week, just crickets chirping. What gives?
Edit: Oh yeah, and apparently this is happening, though, as someone who never cared about G. I. Joe in the slightest, I can't say it excites me any more or less than an average episode of community (i.e. a lot)
