Kudos to Erik Germ for writing the article I wasn’t brave enough to attempt myself. Fans of the Australian spy-comedy Danger 5 know that one of the first season’s running gags involved fatally wounded characters imparting “perfect” cocktail recipes with their final breath. (Because, why not?) Most of these concoctions sound absurdly undrinkable, which is why the only one I’ve ever had the courage to try in real life was “The Perfect Heil Hitler” composed of dark rum, orange soda, and ginger. (Actually, Hitler turned out to be pretty tasty, but I digress.)

At any rate, Erik tried all seven of the recipes featured above, including the one made with (shudder) rice wine and lychee juice, and lived to tell the tale. Barely.
