So, before my most recent trip to France, I upgraded my old iPhone. I loved the 5, and I was not terribly excited about the protruding lens and the size of the 6s. But, after living a few months with a broken screen—and Apple changing their policy about accepting broken screen iPhones for trade-ins—I took the plunge.
Dr. Stephen Strange has the potential to be one of the most influential new variables in the equation that is the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and with Benedict Cumberbatch having been seen filming in Nepal I thought it might be a good time to talk about The Sorcerer Supreme.
!I just tried to post comments on O-Deck to both Eldritch’s post about Goats and Gretnablue’s about “Dark & Grime” media.
I can’t see twitter pics when people put them in their posts. Cookies and cache have been cleared to no avail. Using Chrome on my Chromebook.
This is the second or third time this has happened to me, now. I make a post, and instead of my reply showing up, my avatar and name are attached to some random grey post (which was not in the original thread) that I certainly did NOT make.
At what point does this notification stop mattering? At least a few dozen recommends/thirty plus hours ago in my estimation. I keep hoping somebody had something interesting to say that I could respond to, but nope, just another recommend from a response I made to someone else’s post on Saturday morning.
What exactly does "new visitors" mean when you mouse over the hit counter on an article? It can't be "hits since you last viewed the page," because it'll be the same number or higher when I come back. Is it registering anyone who didn't have a Gawker cookie as a "new visitor"? Not that it matters much, I'm just…
I found out today that I'm no longer following all the people I've ever followed on kinja. I did not do this, so that leaves kinja.
As someone who recently wrote an article that has garnered an astounding amount of replies in a swift period, and as someone who, in areas of the Kinja-verse other then Observation Deck, often finds himself stuck in the greys, I am left with something of a conundrum.
Is there anyplace in the kinjaverse where I could find short descriptions of the different Gawker sites and/or some of the major sub-sites and blogs? I'm picturing a kind of quick-n-dirty compendium of sites, something along the lines of:
What's the deal kinja people!?
As part of our Thanksgiving hack week, one of our engineers, Ashton Galloway, experimented with adding a Pinterest share button to Kinja.
...are you having a routine problem uploading pics from your device to ODeck? I am pretty much always getting an image upload error now. This was never a problem before.
I just checked the site after a day away and found 28 recommendations for various comments I made back in August/September. Weird. Is everything ok, Kinja?
Can we please change things so if someone goes to follow you, you have to agree? I'm being followed by a spammer :/
Or you know, just block the spammer;
Don't even bother tightening your belts; you're about to get your pants scared off. Last week, we asked you to tell us your spookiest, freakiest, goosebump-iest stories. And, holy sleepless night with the lights on — you did not disappoint.
Just noticed this in a few (but not all) of the more recent ODeck posts:
