Here it is, ladies and gentlemen: after weeks of teasing us with short clips and images, this is the first full length trailer for Netflix’s Marvel’s The Punisher. And it’s appropriately bloody and violent, but also kind of sweet in the beginning, before it gets bloody and violent.
Earlier today, The Punisher’s Official Twitter sent out a list of messages in Morse code, which turned out to be all of the episode titles. Soon after, they released a trailer showcasing all of the characters in the show, with a still classified airdate (seriously, Netflix, just tell us when it’s out).
So The Defenders has finally arrived and we have all either watched or it are still watching it. So now it’s time to look towards the future and say what we want to see happen in a post-Defenders world.
While everyone else binge-watched The Defenders today, I...also binge-watched The Defenders. But then after that, I turned my attention to the other Netflix release today, What Happened to Monday? a dystopian science fiction film set in a future where the country has enacted a one-child policy and the main characters…
The debate about Iron Fist was charged up again when the final Defenders trailer premiered. io9 criticizing Danny Rand led to a litany of “You guys just hate him for being white!” Since I once did a helpful episode by episode review of Iron Fist where I liked the show, but not the character, I pointed out that no,…
At San Diego Comic-Con, head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb announced that Iron Fist would be getting a second season. It was also announced via EW that the showrunner would be changed from Scott Buck to Raven Metzner.
Now that the second trailer for The Defenders has dropped and we are less than a month away from the show airing on Netflix (August 18!), let’s do a deep dive into the history of the group. No, not the Defenders — most of the characters on the show have absolutely nothing to do with that team (aside from Luke Cage,…
Italy may not have the strongest of economies, but it sure gets A-list faces for its adverts. Recent years have seen Bruce Willis pretend to get excited over superfast data, and Owen Wilson go gaga over an orange drink.
I’ll admit this up front: I know almost nothing about the Castlevania game. I have never played it, never read up on it. All I know is that it has Dracula in it. But when I heard there was a Castlevania cartoon written by Warren Ellis, I knew I had to watch it. And boy, am I glad.
I know, I know. I already did this one, but this time, I’m adding in all new, all fake episodes, too.
Marvel’s Iron Fist has come out on Netflix and unlike the previous Marvel Netflix shows, it’s gotten quite a bit of bad reviews. So, instead of binging on them one after the other, I decided to write down a review after watching each episode to see what I thought over the entire season and if the show itself would…
...for the first 6 episodes, and they were not kind. Most reviewers lamented on the lack of action for a series based on a martial arts superhero comics. Im still gonna be there on launch date with my popcorn though...
Let’s take a break from the Oscar madness (congratulating the winner,
La La Land Moonlight, of course) to take a look at this trailer for an urban fantasy cop movie from the director of the Academy Award-winning film Suicide Squad.
So Bleeding Cool has revealed most of the episode titles and director credits for the Marvel Netflix Iron Fist show.
There have been several TV shows involving time travel in the last few years. Travelers (streaming on Netflix and airing on Canada’s Showcase) manages to put its own spin on things while dealing with the plot issues inherent to this type of show. I thought it was mostly successful though flawed.
Netflix UK and USA have added a Chinese epic fantasy drama, Ice Fantasy, to their line up. Based on Guo Jing Ming’s novel City of Fantasy it is available to watch in Mandarin with English subtitles (or Traditional Chinese, Arabic, Polish and French if you prefer). It is also known as Huàn Chéng.
Right on the heels of The OA (I wasn’t as impressed as others but I didn’t hate it) and on the same day as the Sense8 Christmas special Netflix is also dropping sci-fi show Travelers to watch over the holiday weekend.
For those not into Gilmore Girls on Netflix (or have already watched), 3% also dropped on Friday. At first glance it looks like a Brazilian CW show/Hunger Games knock-off with all the pretty 20-ish people running around. But I ended up doing something I rarely do and watched it all in one day.
Trying to keep the spoilers light to non-existent, but be warned.
