List of Updates and Changes

The DC Cinematic Universe gauntlet has been thrown down and this week’s comic book movie news just got a lot more cray cray.

Updated October 16th 2014 with the official news from Warner Bros/DC released on the 16th of October.

Updated October 20th 2014 with info from this infographic by Dyland Todd and Andrew Wheeler writing at Comics Alliance

Updated October 28th 2014 because Marvel unleashed their Phase Three plans.

Updated December 21st 2014 to fix some typos, including the really theoretical time of the release of The Amazing Spider-Man 3.

Updated January 6th 2015 because of Gambit and The Fantastic Four 2 news.

Updated February 12th 2015 because Spider-Man is joining the MCU and that meant a few films got moved back in time and that meant The Amazing Spider-Man 3 no longer will happen and that Sinister Six and Venom Carnage and the Spider-Woman? film all become big giant question marks.

Updated July 13th 2015 with some recent information, including that the 2020 DCCU film will be called Green Lantern Corps and that the second Fantastic Four movie will release June 9th 2017.

Updated October 8th 2015 with Marvel’s press announcement that an Ant-Man sequel is go (this pushed Black Panther forward in release and Captain Marvel back) and that they plan on releasing 3, as of yet unknown, films in 2020

Updated November 24th 2015 with Fox’s either cancellation or push-back of Fantastic Four 2.

Updated January 21st 2016 with Sony’s move of the next Spider-Man film forward by three weeks.

Updated February 10th 2016 with DC moving The Flash forward by a week.

Updated February 17th 2016 by adding the Deadpool sequel into the TBA bin. Also put question marks onto the release date for Gambit. Nothing officially confirming its delay has been said, but it doesn’t appear to be on any schedules for 2016 release. So for now it remains listed in 2016 even though it sounds like it’s delayed to 2017 at the earliest.

Updated February 29th 2016 by moving Gambit into the TBA bin and listing dates for two upcoming Fox films (one in 2017, the other in 2018) which haven’t had their titles released yet.

Updated April 7th 2016 in response to news that Wonder Woman is moving ahead 3 weeks and that DC are releasing two additional DC-based films. Neither has a title but I’m speculating that they will be Batman and Superman films. It’s also possible that one of them will be a sequel to Suicide Squad.

Updated April 12th 2016 because Comics Alliance is reporting that Inhumans has been moved back. But Collider is reporting that it hasn’t. So it’s only rumored to be delayed, I guess. Also Marvel’s Spider-Man film finally has a title.

Updated May 5th 2016 to note that Inhumans has been moved from a 2019 release to an unknown release.
