After The Flash tonight, the CW aired two half-hour specials, one about DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and the other called Rise of the Justice League which contained the first footage of the new Wonder Woman movie. And it looked really good.

Yes, it does annoy me that the footage is introduced by two dudes (Geoff Johns and Kevin Smith), but I pumped my fist in the air when Patty Jenkins said, “The greatest thing about Wonder Woman is how good and kind and loving she is, yet none of that negates any of her power.” And it’s a great sign that they aren’t afraid to use the term “feminist” with Wonder Woman.

Here are some screencaps, let’s see if we can tell what’s going on:

Gal Gadot’s Diana appears to be leading Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor through Themyscira, which has a very “misty forest” look to it.

Now Wonder Woman is in her superhero costume, but it’s still pretty misty.

And now she’s beating up what appear to be German solders. Very interesting.

Now Diana is in period dress and walking with Steve and some others.

And they appear to be crossing a bridge, perhaps into New York - maybe we’ll get a scene at the Statue of Liberty, perhaps something about immigrants. That would be really neat.

Diana in her Wonder Woman costume about to kick some ass.

Diana trying on some glasses. Which is Clark’s thing, but still works for her.
