Fellow Browncoats: When you're posting a picture of our favorite Firefly-class 03-K64 Mid-bulk transport, please remember that the version that wound up on the DVD cover is NOT the final design!
I say this because everybody's been posting that early "lumpy" version in Internet polls of 'Best Sci-Fi Spaceships', and now ThinkGeek has it on their new "Firefly Leggings"!
Luckily, the Firefly Wiki still has links to those awesome renders Zoic Studios' released of the sleeker final version, way back when...
(Sorry if this seems a bit anal-retentive, but I just really hate that version on the DVD cover!)
EDIT: There appears to be some confusion in the Replies as to the purpose of this post.
I am not asking anyone's opinion as to which version they like better. I am merely stating a fact — That the version of Serenity that actually appeared in the series is not the same as the crude version that is shown on the DVD cover, thus that image should not be used to represent our beloved spacecraft. That's all.
As John Oliver says, "You don't need people's opinion on a fact. You might as well have a poll asking: 'Which number is bigger, 15 or 5?' or 'Do owls exist?' or 'Are there hats?'"
