So I saw an advance screening of Thor: The Dark World today. Get your hate out, then keep reading for some impressions.
On the whole, it's easily in the top 3 Marvel movies. Might even be my favorite. It's incredibly funny, and I'm really looking forward to catching a matinee after it's been out a couple weeks to catch some of the lines I couldn't hear over the laughter.
Tom Hiddleston continues to be even better as Loki, and he does some phenomenal work with the character. Chris Eccleston, sadly, doesn't have room to show off his chops. The biggest improvement over the first film, though, is that there's more screen time for all the women. Jane, Frigg, Sif, and even Darcy all get more to do, and they all get to do their own variety of ass-kicking.
I absolutely loved it, and I can't wait to see it again in two weeks.
