As reported by CBR:

The long time Executive Editor and Vertigo Vice President’s position has been eliminated.

Shelley Bond has been with the DC imprint since the beginning, but for several years now, the publication has lost readership, mainly to Image Comics, as they have replaced Vertigo as the place to be for creator owned/non-superhero stories.

With the inception of Young Animal, a new imprint with all new stories and the return of Doom Patrol, DC made it abundantly clear that these new comics would be better served here than over at Vertigo. Its a clear showing in the lack of faith DC has with its long standing imprint.

At this time its unclear what this statement means and what the future holds for Vertigo.
