I’m having a Martini made with Leopold’s gin and whatever cheap vermouth I’ve got access to.

Then eventually a very nice Chateauneuf that we have every year on New Year’s Eve.

With lamb shanks because they take a long time to cook. So we eat late, watch The Lord of the Rings (Fellowship tonight, the other two over the weekend) and I stay up past 9:30.


Then maybe a little armagnac with dessert
