Are any of you Niners old/nerdy enough to understand how awesome Murder, She Wrote is? I've been mainlining episodes on Netflix all weekend in a fit of nostalgia. I used to watch re-runs after school every single day. I would run home so I wouldn't miss a minute of that day's episode. So here are my 10 reasons Murder, She Wrote is fucking awesome:

10. Jessica Fletcher lives a healthy lifestyle. She runs, walks and bikes everywhere in Cabot Cove.

9. Jessica Fletcher is a skeptic. No matter how many ghoulies and ghosties and mysterious beasties she encounters, she stays cool and rational while everyone else freaks the fuck out.

8. I literally cannot tell whether or not the New England accents are exaggerated.

7. MY GOD, IT'S FULL OF STARS! Seriously, check out this list of guest stars. Only Columbo, which I also love, can really compete.

6. Speaking of stars, George Clooney guest starred back in 1987, looking like this (pictured wherever Kinja decides to put it):

Look at his floofy '80s hair!

5. Jessica Fletcher must have had at least 10 brothers and sisters who each had at least 10 kids, given how many nieces and nephews she has. Also, every single one of them has been accused of murder.

4. Murder, She Wrote is arguably more progressive than many shows currently running today.

3. Crossover episodes with Magnum, P.I. Enough said.

2. Jessica Fletcher is a badass. She faces down murderers and dead bodies every week.

1. Angela Lansbury (and Jessica Fletcher by extension) is fucking sexy (see the pictures below for proof) and a fantastic actor and singer. All the guys want her, including super MI-6 spy Michael Hagerty (played by Len Cairou) and gumshoe detective Harry McGraw (Jerry Orbach). She has been consistently hot since the beginning of her career to her current age of 89. I have a huge woman-crush on her. Still going strong.
