Here we are almost at the midpoint of season 7, with another jokey episode where the SGC screw up the Gate network and a quite bad trope filled mess of an episode.
In a former life, I used to hate poetry submissions. There were lots of them. They covered a multitude of sins. Some were very good. Most were not. It’s not uncommon for publications to have a policy of refusal for all kinds of verse.
What’s up, niners!!Welcome to WednesdayBookClub, the official* book club of the observation deck. I’m your host, geesejuggler. Let’s get started, everyone!
At least he hasn’t written about it yet. I think. (Maybe he did.) But if he didn’t, he probably didn’t want to know about it himself. Ladies and gentlemen - Aunt May. The - official! - Aunt May Action Figure.
About halfway through Sunday’s new episode of Sherlock, “The Six Thatchers”, I hit some kind of peak, some perfect combination of incredulity and sadness provoked by how unbelievably bad it was, that I was giddy, on the verge of tears and bitter laughter. Why . . . why is Mark Gatiss still allowed to write for…

There have been several TV shows involving time travel in the last few years. Travelers (streaming on Netflix and airing on Canada’s Showcase) manages to put its own spin on things while dealing with the plot issues inherent to this type of show. I thought it was mostly successful though flawed.
A new year and lots of new shows to go with it. We also have all the shows returning from their holiday hiatus. Check below to find out when your favorite genre tv shows will be premiering.
The year’s not looking bad so far. No celebrity deaths. Nobody botched a vote. A bit loud, but quite pretty. For the rest of you…
Back again and today we have an episode where Michael Rooker becomes Lord Chelmsford and Carter takes part in a piece of capitalist advertising.
