On May 6, Hulu will release the documentary Batman & Bill, about about how Bill Finger, perhaps the man most responsible for the Batman mythos, was never credited until very recently and why.
CBC News report that the terraforming nanobots that swarmed over tonight’s episode of Doctor Who are named after a computer science professor from a Newfoundland university.
Tonight Vala revisits her old digs and then gets sent far, far away.
Happy Earth Day, everyone! Is anyone else here attending one of the Marches for Science? See/make any good signs?
How are you smurfin’? Just back from a Saturday screening of The Smurfs:The Lost Village which is a slightly psychedelic smurfy slide through the smurfyverse of Belgium’s favourite blue people. Colourful, funny, sad, and adventure-filled, it’s all those things. Smurfy!
On April 20, 2017, NASA released this photo from the Cassini-Huygens probe.
I’ve been working my way through the new season of Mystery Science Theatre 3000 over the past week and four episodes in I’m starting to enjoy it more. After a very successful Kickstarter campaign, the new season premièred on NetFlix last week, resurrecting the show which ended in 1999 after having been on air for just…
A chart I just put together to cover the timelines and overlap of early TV anthologies of the thriller, fantasy, horror, and sci-fi varieties.
That it was a one eyed, one horned, FLYING, purple, people eater? As a child I knew blind musicians were a thing, so it didn’t seem odd to have a blind people eater to me.
A thought somehow made into the emptiness in my skull and had me wondering what ever happened to some people I used to see around here at Odeck. (Also, because I’m bored.) This is not a 4:20 prank.
It only had one season (1995-96), and a couple of episodes were cringeworthy, but others made me sad for the lost potential. It explored a lot of the usual themes; what it means to be human, ends justifying means, etc.
