The Svengoolie movie this week will be Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster.
Now that America replaced a nerd with a bully in the Oval Office, it’s kinda nice to know your Northern Neighbours’ boss still appreciates Nerd Culture and knows how to behave and dress on our highest holidays... :)
I saw Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 tonight. Was it good? Hell yes. Was it as good as the first film? Eh, not quite. But it didn’t need to be. It was good on its own, by itself, and it served all the characters well. Hell, it introduced a buttload of more characters that I want to see more of right now.
5/4/17 I’ve been meaning to do a small write for Rogue One after my humble request was answered but time keeps on slippin’-slippin’-slippin’ into the future. In any case, today is as good a day as it gets so...
This week is an exercise in “obvious question is obvious” as UnitedShoes wants to know what size shoe you wear. Feel free to use whatever local measuring system you have as long as you tell us what it is so we can convert it to something meaningful.
It seems likely that alien life has evolved somewhere in the Galaxy, given that there may be billions of habitable planets, and many of these may have existed for billions of years. If just one species in the whole of the Galaxy were able to explore using self-replicating spacecraft, then they might be able to place…
let’s not forget the other franchise - and the official (yes, I’m voting for this to become official canon) connection between the two. May the 4th be with you.
The overwhelming nature of social media to-day can be boring, particularly to people who don’t know a lot about it, like the makers of 2017's The Circle. Well shit. Last night’s Agents of SHIELD was a doozy. This “pod” - as it appears the mini-episodes contained within each season are being called - has really focused on what it means to be a person and the nature of consciousness. Aida may have got what she wanted (with some alterations), but is she real? What about…
With the Beeb reviving it’s Tomorrow’s World brand for a range of science orientated programmes, Newsbeat has taken a look over a handful of items that appeared on the original show. There’s plastic grass, touchscreens, chip and pin, computers and the handy mobile phone above. That’s 1979 that it is. Even the mobile…
A certain indestructible man will be celebrating his 50th birthday in September which put me in mind of a distinctive multi-sectioned spaceship that links him with two other Gerry Anderson franchises - possibly the unluckiest vessel to fly the space ways, Zero-X!
You often do not hear about the voices to videogames. Here is an informative interview with Patricia Summersett the voice of Zelda.
Goodnight, cruel world, for I was at a work event and forgot to post.
Tonight in the reaction thread: Cringes, so many of them! Also, Evil Because-of-Reasons Killer Frost is gonna be causing some trouble. Will Cisco lend her a hand or two? Welcome to the least magical telenovela out there right now. Now let’s react, and prepare for evilness!
