Miscalibrated Internet Receptor Stalks

As someone who recently wrote an article that has garnered an astounding amount of replies in a swift period, and as someone who, in areas of the Kinja-verse other then Observation Deck, often finds himself stuck in the greys, I am left with something of a conundrum.

Knowing how frustrating it can be to have my comments stuck in the grey, visible only if someone takes the extra step to click on "Show pending," I want to leave as few of my commenters as possible in that same situation. No one (who isn't spam, a troll, or intentionally offensive) should have to feel as if their comments are second class ones! But, as the number of comments grew and grew, it became increasingly difficult to stay on top of!

Things have slowed down now, so I am less overwhelmed, but I think I may have missed a few here and there... And, of course, it doesn't help that replies to other people's comments don't show up in my notification center.

And so, I have a few questions. And if the answers to these questions are no, perhaps they could instead be taken as suggestions.

Question one: Is there a way to set your notification center to show only pending comments?

Question two: Is there a way to set your notification center to notify you of replies to other people's comments on articles for which you are the original author?

I think these two things could be really helpful for myself and any other authors who may wish to stay on top of clearing out the greys!
