A few things of interest today:
The Texas State Board of Education is voting on whether or not to excise Algebra II from graduation requirements. As s teenager who struggled with math at every turn, I'm not sorry to see it go, BUT as an adult who knows that math is a genuine gateway into science, and science leads to discovery, I can't say that I'm too happy this is happening. You're thoughts? Read the whole kerfuffle here.
Stephen King really hates adverbs. I mean genuinely dislikes them. They can be terribly convenient, but I can truly see where he is coming from. Read it as well as you wish, here. See also:
