A friends son, 6 yrs old today, called me, specifically, to talk about having a super hero party and why I had to help his two mommies plan it because they "know a lot about video games and cartoons, but they don't know comics like you. You HAVE to help them Uncle Dave!"
So I talked to him for am hour and them talked to his moms and told them what stores to go to and then talked to him again. During the second conversation he told me he was putting on the invite that no one, absolutely no one, could come as Wonder Woman because "I know you like her, so YOU can come as her and no one will be wearing your costume!" I told him he didn't have to do that since I got plenty of chances to wear my costumes (He is going as Ultimate Spiderman, so that costume choice is off limits as well). After he said ok, I said bye and I could hear him in the background, as I talked to his mom , telling his other mom "Uncle David says its ok for other people to wear Wonder Woman costumes, so they can wear them. But if he doesn't like the costume, they have to leave!"
Shitty day saved by a kid. Love it. Thanks Marious. Now I am smiling."
