This is such a fun game, even though I do miss the modern bits overall the Edward Kenway experience is infinitely much more fun that the Connor Kenway experience.

I'm still not done with the main storyline as I'm doing all the side bits and upgrading my ship as high as I can but so far I think this is exactly the kind new creative energy AC needed in it's aging franchise. The sailing is amazing, with the controls almost never bugging out on me unlike when I control Edward. The simplification of Edward's attacks are also great. And can I just say as someone who loved exploring jungles as Lara Croft back the day, it was great to see those kinds of environments make a return. I also love the modern Abstergo bits and wish that maybe they reveal in future games that you were playing a character who was an assassin sent to infiltrate. Overall, I am pleased with how AC 4 turned out, as I was one of the many people who though AC 3 failed to live up to its expectations.
