Why does Disney feel the need to delay their animated films in Europe for so long? If you live in the UK, you’ll have to wait until the 24th of July to be able to see Inside Out legally. Most of Europe gets it around August time and if you live in Germany or Austria, you’ll have to wait until the 1st of October.
What is Disney’s problem? This happens every time they release an animated movie. Just look at the release dates of Big Hero 6, Frozen, Wreck-It Ralph and Brave. It isn’t a dubbing issue as oddly France is getting it at a reasonable time. There is no strategy as there is no pattern to how they release their movies in Europe.
This is really annoying for me as this was a movie I had wanted to see given the praise I’ve heard it’s been getting and it seems that this film is far harder to avoid spoilers for.
Is there anyway I could get an answer? I’m honestly asking if there is a way to find what the problem is? I’d also be really be interested in seeing the torrent numbers on these films because I’d be shocked if European didn’t make a large portion of the users.
On the flip side, it is really surprising that Pixar released Minions in most of Europe first before the USA. That is very unusual for them to do.
