I don't think this has been posted here yet but since I see this complaint/request come up frequently when discussing contemporary book buying, I thought folks would be interested to know that Amazon is rolling out Matchbook this October where customers who buy a print book will also receive a free or discounted e-book version of the title.

I'm pretty jazzed about this, especially if it's retroactive to books I bought in the past and might have gifted or given away. At the same time, I'm still going to buy tangible books because of comics and books like Night Film where the text is more than words. It's nice that the publishers are realizing that readers aren't one camp or another.

Who else is excited?!?
