This just popped up on my Twitter feed and it's way too awesome not to share.

Jack Kirby, the legendary artist and storyteller who essentially created the Marvel universe as we know it, was commissioned by the NFL in 1973 to do a series of illustrations for their official magazine. Obviously, the NFL let Kirby take all of the creative licenses he wanted. The results are amazing, uncanny, and incredible. Kirby really was king.
