There will be spoilers. Long and short I want to talk about connections to Arrow that everyone seemed to overlook in Gotham and the evolution and writing behind Fitz's character in AoS.
So I'll start with Gotham. For anyone who hasn't watched Arrow you missed out on Monday. The reference to the Dollmaker was a very chilling reference. The comments by 2 or 3 people who said they thought he only wanted young girls struck me and had me wondering as well. Why does the Dollmaker want all these random kids? What's he doing with them? Will he be the arch villain this season? Also there was apparently a shot of Queen Consolidated that I totally missed. Bravo writers for making the connection to a bigger universe. Marvel is finding a lot of success in that.
The other thing I wanted to talk about was Fitz. I want to say I absolutely think the writers and what they're doing for the character are spectacular. I can't really describe properly just how I appreciate the self-awareness and struggles Fitz is having. The tenuous grasp on reality allows him to try and solve problems, but he's not really able to make the connections yet to fix it. Mack's role in this is perfect. Kicking the other techs out because they "angered him" was genius. I really can't wait to see how the character evolves this year.
