There were reasons, so let's skip past those to—did you participate in the first Art It prompt that asked you to take something 'made' and make a person out of it? For very liberal interpretations of 'made' and 'person'?
I'd love to see what you did, whether you finished your work or not—and if you didn't and just thought about it (positively or negatively), I'd love to hear that too.
In the meanwhile, I bring you Perlita Negrita (the Black Pearl) from Pirates Of The Caribbean. I decided to not go really point for point and make her look like Jack Sparrow's extra leg and I kinda found the ship itself visually limiting in the pictures I could find (uh, my bad on not doing enough research?).
So here were my decisions: She's black, because that's in the title. She's the same period as the movie, she's a badass with artillery, and she has the pirate marks on her.
It was fun, and it was also frustrating—I had started with the Colt from Supernatural, but...even I can have too much of a good thing. So—any of you guys? Comments? Stuff?
