Miscalibrated Internet Receptor Stalks
Miscalibrated Internet Receptor Stalks

Part one of our Topic of the Day, which is exotic countries ... depending on where you live.. ;) Later today, StellaStar is going to talk about Japan, which worries me a bit - we may come across as a little boring compared to the glory that is Japan, but still. We'll do our best shall we?

Just remember - Don't mention the war!!!

Just kidding. Anything of course includes our history and the wars we've had. Any topical question is welcome, be it language, culture, SciFi related stuff, if you can think of any.... politics, food.... ;) what you can think of. I have been threatened with requests to translate swearwords and questions about nudity already, so..... bring it on)

You may be aware though that this is kind of a difficult time to talk about anything with a German except one thing.... Football is not a required topic, even in this time, though. (Fortunately this is not a Saturday thing, as Germany does play tomorrow....) And if you talk about it, remember, I hold the red cards in this game... ;) (Sorry to bring up Portugal, you know who ;) )

So - this is normally the point to say what qualifies you about the given topic - I guess we can cut that short, I've been trying to get the gist of this being German for as long as I can remember now... ;) And we're supposed to be persistent......

This is the am spot, so I'll open it now at around 6 am EDT. I may not be here all the time until 10 EDT, I cannot say that for sure, but I should definitively be able to reply frequently until about 2 or 3 pm EDT. I do not intend to close the topic, unless it unexpectedly gets out of hand, so you can keep asking, but after 3 or 4 pm EDT it will be getting late here and your answers will probably have to wait until tomorrow.

So. Come on in. Ask away.

PS: I almost forgot. A while ago, I had the pleasure to help Irinel Petrescu write a really good ODeck article about German SciFi.
