Earlier today three crew members of the International Space Station moved their Soyuz craft from one docking port about 180 meters to another docking port. Movies like Gravity point out the dangers of space but it's nice to be reminded that the majority of what humans do in space is successful.
NASA astronaut Karen Nyberg, Russian cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin and European Space Agency astronaut Luca Parmitano traveled in the Soyuz craft that they will use later this month to return to Earth. The maneuver is in preparation for the arrival of three new crew members next week.
Here is the Soyuz craft before the move.
