Brian Aldiss dies aged 92

Legendary Science Fiction Author Brian Aldiss, OBE died on his 92nd birthday. His short story Supertoys last all summer long was the core inspiration for the Spielberg-Kuberick movie AI. He was a prolific author, poet and editor of anthologies.

He served in Burma with the Royal Signals, an experience that shaped early novels. His Shelley deconstruction (or reconstruction) Frankenstein Unbound was filmed by Roger Corman.
