Miscalibrated Internet Receptor Stalks

Classic Surreal Movie PSA!

ZOMG, y'all, Turner Classic Movies is running The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T this morning!! If you've never seen it, it's an indescribably weird and wonderful 1953 film co-written by Ted Geisel (aka Dr. Seuss!), starring Tommy Rettig from Lassie and the great Hans Conried as Dr. Terwilliker. I am not about to spoil this one, I'll only say it's basically a live-action Dr. Seuss movie actually written by Dr. Seuss! Here's the IMDb page, but I'd resist reading the full plot summary if you're planning on watching, which you should.

It's on TCM at 2:45 AM Central (US) this Sunday morning in my area — check your local listings — but if you're not a habitual insomniac and/or overly caffeinated, believe me, this one is well worth setting the DVR!
