Sorry about the hiatus—I was fangirling at the SPN con a couple of weeks ago, and then there was the Adam Ant concert, and I just kind of got sidetracked. But I'm back!
So, off and on for the next month and a half, I've decided I'm going to put up some of my favourite "autumny" songs. I have a playlist named as such on my iTunes; some of the songs are literally about this time of year, but a lot of them simply evoke the ambiance, feelings and mood of Autumn for me (it's my favourite season, the only time of year I really feel "alive", and myself). So, without further ado...
I adore The Moody Blues. This is a solo effort from Justin—it was used on the album "Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds". It's a lovely, melancholy melody.
I generally try to stay away from "home made" videos, but I love this song SO much that I'm breaking that rule. I've been listening to Clannad for over 30 years; this is probably my favourite song by them. Absolutely haunting.
Okay, this is another "not official" video, but it's actually really cool. "Treasure" is one of my "desert island" albums, and one of the few I listen to in its entirety.
It's obvious that Charles Edward grew up on a steady diet of Type O Negative—and I am totally okay with that.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this song and video. It's basically one of my tumblrs in video form. I am a sucker for witchy redheads that can sing; this whole album is fantastic. I recommend it.
