Corpsegoddess' Graveyard Shift

So, I like to collect videos on YouTube; mostly musical ones, but there's the odd one off here and there. And since, you know, we're supposed to be authors here—and blogging—I figured I'd take this here thing out for a spin every Friday and put up some of my favourites. I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel here or anything, either—a lot of these people probably already know. They're just stuff I really like for one reason or another.

Fair warning: I have inordinately eclectic tastes.

Also, some of these may be NSFW, for various reasons (most likely language). I'll do a little header beforehand if that's the case.

Currently one of my favourite videos, songs, bands (and related albums). Mark Lanegan is the ex-lead singer for The Screaming Trees, and his voice has aged into something wonderful.

One of my top 5 favourite songs of all-time.

These ladies are an essential for me. If you ever get a chance to see them live, do; I was lucky enough to see them perform in a cathedral in England. Awesomeness.

I am a sucker for perfect power pop, and this song has it in spades. The Dandy Warhols are one of those bands I see every time they're near me; I must have seen them live about 15 or 17 times now. They make wonderful music. And Courtney Taylor-Taylor totally channels the Adam Ant eyebrow here.

Pogo hears music much differently from the rest of us, and thank goodness for that. His compositions are eerie, enchanting, and amazing.
