So I was North of the Wall this past weekend to visit the Mr (and let's be honest, the cats)...

I was explaining to his friends up there that my full name is Sanskrit. Now for MOST people they don't know what Sanskrit is, so I usually just us the simple explanation of "You know Latin? It's like the Southern Hemisphere version of Latin". Forgetting the the Mr has his edumication in languages and communication. He gives me the most baffled expression as if he's never heard me say this, ever. When I've said it repeatedly to an insane amount of people...

So my questions is: Is there something you smooth over, or over simplify for your regular run-ins and acquaintances that technically is kinda (or very) wrong when actually broken down?
