Ex Machina Looks Intense

Next April, the film Ex Machina, directed by Alex Garland, will premiere and I'm willing to bet that audiences will be blown away. The trailer, which I've embedded below, is very intense and has me impatiently waiting for the next 5.5 months.

Garland is best known as the writer of 28 Days Later and Sunshine. 28 Days Later, the "zombie" film which reignited the genre as a whole, did a great job of making the viewer emotionally invested in the outcome of the characters. It also did well in conveying the message that our humanity can become twisted or all together disappear once a seeming apocalypse takes shape. Sunshine, a Danny Boyle film I somehow missed, was well received critically, leading me to believe Garland will do well in his directorial debut.

As promised, here's the trailer:

One question for you all: Do you think sexuality will play a key role in Artificial Intelligence design?
