I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Now it’s time to kick off a new week......screw it i’m going back to bed.

Did you know that Jerry Orbach was in an episode of Buck Rogers In The 25th Century?

I think it’s fair to say most people know Jerry Orbach from his work on Law And Order or his voice work in movies like Beauty And The Beast. I discovered that he was also in a long list of actors to guest role on the Buck Rogers TV series that aired between 1979 and 1981. FIrst off let’s check out the Encyclopedia Whose Contributors Have The Right To Remain Silent, If Not The Capacity.

Guest stars throughout the series included Jamie Lee Curtis, Markie Post, Dorothy Stratten, Leigh McCloskey, Richard Moll, Jerry Orbach, Gary Coleman, Jack Palance, Sam Jaffe, Vera Miles, and Buster Crabbe (who had played Buck Rogers in the 1930s film serial).Joseph Wiseman also appeared in one episode of the series, and was also briefly seen in the theatrical version of the pilot as Emperor Draco (Princess Ardala’s father), but his appearance was edited out of the television version. Several actors who had played villains in the 1960s Batman television series also guest-starred, including Cesar Romero, Frank Gorshin, Roddy McDowell, and Julie Newmar.

This was actually one of the easier FOTD to do. The picture above came from a Law And Order blog called”These Are Thier Stories”. The episode is called “Space Rockers” and according to the blog...

Jerry plays Lars Mangros, who is described as “a cynical musical mastermind [who] uses 25th century rock & roll to front a youth rebellion which threatens the entire galaxy. “ Lars (Jerry) makes galaxy-wide trouble by hiding hypnotic signals in the music of his rock band, encouraging young fans to rebel against authority.

So even in the 25th century, the music old people can’t stand is evil and trying to corrupt the youth. Good times.

In 2013 I09 did a article on this episode that I found to be an interesting read. I guess in the future We AlL TalK LIkE ToRGo In MAnoS ThE HanDs Of FaTe.

Richard Moll, Bull on Night Court also was in this episode as Orbach’s henchman. He had a Zod beard going on but I think he could pull it off.

I was unable to find the full episode online. According to the blog writer for the L&O blog it’s on Hulu. That was written in 2008 and when I searched Hului nothing came up so I suspect it’s been pulled. I did find this preview clip. Jerry’s one part is around the 15 second mark

Lastly, just for the hell of it, here is a 1977 Chevy commerical Jerry did. It gives you a good idea of what he look and sounded like back then.

Ok well that was fun. What other interesting things can we find when we search around the Internet?
