It's mine! It's mine! Wait, isn't that how this works? It's not? Go figure. Anyway, welcome to WednesdayBookClub!
This week's book club is comign toyou in 3 parts. First up, what we've read this past week. I finished my 52 book goal with Foundation. Man, that book is still great. I never really read short stories until I read this for the first time and I have a new respect for them. I'm not sure what I'll read next. I think Vicious ruined me for books for a while.
Incidentally, that leads me to Part 2: Favorite books of 2013! My list, in no particular order:
*Vicious by V.E. Schwab
*Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
*When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead. That book was sneaky good.
*The Fourth Bear by Jasper Fforde. I read that after I finished an edit of a story and I have a great for Fforde and his ability to weave so many times in a story and make it fun.
*The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan. Great ending to a great book series.
Unfortunately, a lot of book series ended in 2013 so I reread a lot of books, according to my goodreads account. I think two more of my favorite ones end this year too so I'll probably do it again. Ain't bovvered!
Part 3: What are your book reading goals for 2014? I got my 52 by the skin of my teeth but it's because of Korean dramas, NaNoWriMo and editing my story. I'm not sure if I'll do NaNo again this year but I do plan on writing more so my 2014 goal is only 35.
What about you, Niners? What have you read this week, what were the books that blew you away in 2013 and what is your book goal for 2014?
