So I just finished Broadcast 0, the first three stories in Randolph Lalonde's Spinward Fringe series.

I was THIS close to buying the next two books, since they were $2.99 total in the Amazon store, but then I saw the summary: "Blah blah Main Character has no memory of his past."

If there is one thing I absolutely hate, it's when I'm already vested in a character, no, an entire ship's crew's story arc and development, and then the main character loses his memory somehow. This took me completely by surprise. Now I don't know if I want to read any more of this series. Giving someone amnesia when you ALREADY know what they went through, then having them (maybe) gain back the memories slowly while reforging the bonds that they've already established, bah. Might as well have not read the first three books.
