I may have fibbed a bit yesterday. “O” has turned out to be another one of those tricky letters. There’s stuff to find, if you look hard enough, but it’s all over the place in genre and quality. Things may get contentious.

So, to make it even harder for you guys, this one’s a double. Why, you’re welcome!

Note: If anyone can bring forth convincing evidence that The Oak Ridge Boys were singing about Cassandra Peterson, I will allow it. But it better be good.

O is for Billy Ocean

Billy had several hits in the 80s (beep-beep!), but I had to go with this one, not least because of its connection to Kathleen Turner’s Contractually Obligated Adventure (a.k.a. The Jewel of the Nile). Love that they put DeVito in the middle.

O is also for Oingo Boingo

Yeah, yeah, it’s a dead man’s party — but this is Observation Deck, so I went with the obvious. Now Danny Elfman’s famous for his film scores. I still remember him as the Devil in this (NSFW due to the Princess, and possibly Cab Calloway abuse).
