So, gator hunting season started this weekend in Mississippi. (Hunting alligators is super regulated. At one point the population was dwindling but the regulated hunting has actually brought their population back to booming. There's lots of them! But, hunting is still very regulated. The only time you can shoot a gator out of season is if it has ended up into someone's backyard or pool and you have to have a special license for that. In Louisiana, I believe the deal is that you get X amount of tags and can only kill that X amount of gators for the whole season.)
Anyway, check out this mammoth that got caught this weekend. I still think "Oh poor baby!" but then I remember he would kill me if he could. Someone else caught another one of this size shortly after this catch too. Eesh.
