To mark this momentous event, Gizmodo created a new category for articles: Fiction. This category’s information reads:

Journeys into unfamiliar worlds, imagined futures, and altered states of mind.

Really interesting stuff! Their first staff-written fiction is a short story by Hudson Hongo about some science-y/technology-y fiction: “The Unforgetting Machine”.

From being published at Gizmodo, it was shared to Gizmodo’s pop culture vertical, io9, about an hour later. I saw it there, because I go to io9 to learn about pop culture.

It’s an interesting first (?) published fictional story from one of Gizmodo’s staff and I’d recommend giving it a read, if you like science-y/technology-y fiction.
